How Tech Has Transformed The Way We Work

It is no exaggeration to say that technology has completely and utterly changed the way we go about our lives. From how we pay our bills to the way we communicate with one and other, technology has had a monumental impact on it all. This is definitely the case when it comes to the business environment. Technology has enabled us to work smarter so that we can achieve more in our day-to-day lives at work. With that being said, read on to discover how technology has transformed the way we work.

It’s given us the freedom to work anywhere – It is of no coincidence that the number of remote workers has increased considerably in line with technological advancements. Exceptional connectivity possibilities have enabled us to work from home and from all corners of the world. This does not only relate to those in admin-based jobs. Specialist jobs can now be carried out easier than ever before. If you take a look at Digilentinc.com, you will see equipment that has enabled lab workers to operate from various environments and carry out their work without the need for masses of equipment, as was once the case.

We are able to provide exceptional customer service – Businesses can now gain a competitive advantage by providing the most impressive customer service. There are many different ways that technology has made this possible. Not only has it allowed more efficient warehouse operations, making the likes of same day and next day delivery possible, but it has allowed us to offer a more personalized service. We can easily gather and draw on data about our customers and we can connect with them via so many different channels. This personalized customer experience is something that is developing at a rapid pace.

Work smarter, not harder – You have probably heard this phrase before, and this is because technology is enabling us to achieve more in a shorter space of time. It is all about working smarter instead of working harder. You can automate tasks that once took ages to carry out manually. Discover what tasks to automate at cronofy.com. Not only this but you can draw upon data that is put into concise reports to make more intelligent decisions. This merely scratches the surface too. Collaborative platforms mean that employees can work together with ease. Whenever they need information, progress reports, or documents for the project they are working on, they can refer to the collaborative platform, rather than waiting in a queue for someone else to take action.

As you can see, technology has had a monumental impact on the way that we go about our business. There is no denying that it has enabled us to make smarter business decisions and achieve more in the workplace. It has also meant that our workplaces now extend beyond the traditional office space and that we can work in environments all over the world.

What Are America’s Most Dangerous Jobs?

Many people work a 9-5 day in an office. But that is not the case for everyone. There are people like builders and painters who work with their hands all day, but there are also some people who put their life on the line every time that they go to work. It is important to research any job and its requirements before you apply. Below you will find some of the most dangerous jobs that a person can do.

Army

The most obvious one and probably the one that most people think of when you say ‘dangerous job’ is the army. From a soldier to a medic, these men and women put their life on the line every day, fighting for the freedom of this country. This job is dangerous because even if you aren’t on the front lines, it doesn’t mean that you are safe. It is possible that an enemy could attack your base or if there are severe weather conditions, these can take a toll on you.

Lumberjack/Logging

The work of a lumberjack is physically demanding and can be extremely dangerous. This is constantly listed as one of the most dangerous jobs in America for a number of reasons. One of these is that they could very easily fall out of trees or high places that they are working. The other is that the workers can often work far away from hospitals, meaning that if they do get injured, it is a race against the clock to get them to a hospital.

Being the most dangerous job in America, it comes with a high death toll. In 2016, Time said that 135.9 workers out of every 100,000 were fatally injured. If a loved one does die while working, you may be entitled to sue for wrongful death. It is always worth contacting the company and listening to their explanation and how they intend to support you, but if this is not satisfactory for you, you should contact a lawyer immediately.

Pilot

There are so many factors that make being a pilot dangerous. Even if we don’t include human error, things such as weather conditions and navigational devices not working correctly can make the job extremely dangerous. If you end up flying blind, you never know what you’re going to run into or where you’re going to end up. This is dangerous as there are other planes flying at the same time and if a pilot can’t tell where he’s going, this could result in a collision.

Roofer

As roofers spend all their time high up, this makes this job dangerous for obvious reasons. If a roofer falls from the building they are working on, the damage is bound to be significant and result in them at least taking some time off work. Some roofs are even unsafe to begin with, meaning that even considering going up there to fix it is dangerous and you are at risk the second you leave the ground.

We hope that this gives you a good idea about what some of the most dangerous jobs are and why they cause so many injuries.

Nobody Needs To Live In An Unhappy Relationship

A relationship should result in a happier version of ourselves. Some people believe that having the right person in their lives will automatically make them happier, but we all make mistakes in this department from time to time. But, rather than admit we’ve made the mistake, we tend to stick it out, and try to make the relationship work. Of course, tenacity and resilience are essential to any relationship, and some guys even try to make it better by sending her good morning texts but there is a point where it’s a lost cause, and it’s got to the point where you feel stuck or unhappy. What are the reasons, and what can you do to break free?

A Hard Habit To Break…

We’ve got to the point where it’s not just about the two of us anymore; there may be pets, mortgages, debts, and children. As such, we feel our individual priorities slip down the pecking order. We make sure that everything else is catered for, often to the detriment of our happiness. It can feel like a house of cards, you take one of the essential ones out, and everything will collapse, and a lot of us don’t like the idea of being saddled with this guilt. This is completely understandable.

Making Excuses For Them

We can find ourselves overlooking certain characteristics of the other person that, not only we find upsetting, but other people have noticed too. The big problem with this is that once these issues are left to fester, they can get worse. Something small could soon develop into something far worse, such as abuse. When we encounter abuse, either physical or emotional, we tend to justify it in one way or another. But, when it gets to the point that these justifications happen all too much, and other people feel they have to interject, it’s time to take action.

Severing The Ties

Because of the life you have built together, as well as responsibilities, you could find it incredibly difficult to sever the ties. But if it gets to the point where you are perennially unhappy, and you wake up and realize that the person you are now is not the person you want to be, then you deserve to be the person you once were. Contacting the police, or a battery defense lawyer is extreme, but if you are fearful for your safety, then you need protecting. Likewise, even if you feel you’ve been emotionally undermined all this time, the other person may not even see it, in which case, confronting them and/or leaving them will possibly make them realize the errors of their ways. Of course, these people swear they will change, but we all know deep down that this is seldom the case.

We can get tangled in these webs, and when it comes to decluttering your life, you may realize that a relationship is not just about you serving the other person. It can get to the point where we feel perennially unhappy in this construct, and the fact of the matter is, we don’t need a relationship to make us happy. Nobody needs to live in an unhappy relationship.
